prāktubhya indraḥ pra vṛdho ahabhyaḥ prāntarikṣātpra samudrasya dhāseḥ pra vātasya prathasaḥ pra jmo antātpra sindhubhyo ririce pra kṣitibhyaḥ
Before the dawn Indra, before the growth, from the mid-air, from the bursting sea; before the winds, before the droughts, before the streams, he rose from the oceans, from the realms, from the earths.
Indra is vaster than the nights, vaster than the days, vaster than the firmament or the receptacle of theocean, vaster than the wind, or space or the ends of the earth; Indra exceeds the rivers and mankind.
Vaster than days and nights, Giver of increase, vaster than firmament and flood of ocean, Vaster than bounds of earth and wind's extension, vaster than rivers and our lands is Indra.
