Praise Indra with a dance-song, he whose great fame broke the shining bonds at the ends of light. He who went forth with eager young steeds, conquering the floods of the Sindhu with valorous might.
Praise Indra, the chief leadere (of rites), whose glory surpasses the lustre (of others), and the ends ofthe earth; the sustainer of man, who exceeding the ocean in magnitude, fills (heaven and earth) with radiance.
I WILL extol the most heroic Indra who with his might forced earth and sky asunder; Who hath filled all with width as man's Upholder, surpassing floods and rivers in his greatness.
