tadagne cakṣuḥ prati dhehi rebhe śaphārujaṃ yena paśyasi yātudhānam atharvavajjyotiṣā daivyena satyaṃ dhūrvantamacitaṃ nyoṣa
O Agni, place thy eye opposite the ray that you see the hostile band. The Atharvan knowledge of divine light may produce the true, lasting order.
Cast, Agni, upon the two roaring (rākṣasas) that eye wherewith you behold the Yātudhāna strikingwith his hoof; like Atharvan with celestial radiance burn down the ignorant (rākṣasas), who assails truth withfalsehood.
Lead thou the worshipper that eye, O Agni, wherewith thou lookest on the hoof-armed demon. With light celestial in Atharvan's manner burn up the foot who ruins truth with falsehood.
