गृ॒भ्णामि॑ ते सौभग॒त्वाय॒ हस्तं॒ मया॒ पत्या॑ ज॒रद॑ष्टि॒र्यथासः॑ । भगो॑ अर्य॒मा स॑वि॒ता पुरं॑धि॒र्मह्यं॑ त्वादु॒र्गार्ह॑पत्याय दे॒वाः
gṛbhṇāmi te saubhagatvāya hastaṃ mayā patyā jaradaṣṭiryathāsaḥ bhago aryamā savitā puraṃdhirmahyaṃ tvādurgārhapatyāya devāḥ
I take your hand, O fortunate one, that you may have good fortune; may my wife, with eyes grown old, be like this. May Arjuna and Savita grant me, for my husband who is difficult to approach, the gods' favor.
I take your hand for good fortune, that you may attain old age with me as your husband; the godsBhaga, Aryaman, Savitā, Purandhi have given you to me, that I may be the master of a household.
I take thy hand in mine for happy fortune that thou mayst reach old age with me thy husband. Gods, Aryaman, Bhaga, Savitar, Purandhi, have given thee to be my household's mistress.
