The radiant Sun lifts up the subtle heaven striving in the sky and on the earth. From the clouds the rains flow; the bull of splendour does not low.
The sound goes forth in heaven above the earth; (Sindhu) with shining wave animates his endlessspeed; as rains issue thundering from the cloud, so Sindhu (thunders) when he advances roaring like a bull.
His roar is lifted up to heaven above the earth: he puts forth endless vigour with a flash of light. Like floods of rain that fall- in thunder from the cloud, so Sindhu rushes on bellowing like a bull.
