devāścitte amṛtā jātavedo mahimānaṃ vādhryaśva pra vocan yatsampṛcchaṃ mānuṣīrviśa āyantvaṃ nṛbhirajayastvāvṛdhebhiḥ
The gods and the immortal Jatavedas proclaimed greatness; Vadhryashva spoke forth. May human prayers surround you; may victories come to you by increasing fame.
The immortal gods have proclaimed your greatness. Jātavedas, Vadhryaśva (Agni); when humanbeings, came to inquire (who would slay the asuras), then you with (the gods), the leaders of all, fostered by youdid overcome (those who impeded the ceremony).
Even Immortal Gods, O Jatavedas, Vadhryasva's Kinsman, have declared thy grandeur. When human tribes drew near with supplication thou conqueredst with men whom thou hadst strengthened.
