You, knower of the sacrificial oblation, are the well-milking cow; among men you, O Agni, save by right offerings, revered by Mitra and the gods.
In you, Jātavedas, is the cow easy to be milked, yielding ambrosia as it were inexhaustibly in battle, you are kindled, Agni, by the devout Sumitras who are entitled to the sacrificial donation.
Thine is the teeming cow, O Jatavedas, who pours at once her ceaseless flow, Sabardhuk, Thou. art lit up by men enriched with guerdon, O Agni, by the pious-souled Sumitras.
