yatte manuryadanīkaṃ sumitraḥ samīdhe agne tadidaṃ navīyaḥ sa revacchoca sa giro juṣasva sa vājaṃ darṣi sa iha śravo dhāḥ
What Manu possessed of yore, O friendly one, bring near, Agni; this is the renewed offering. Praise, speak the word; grant the strength, be here to hearken to our fame.
May that your army of flame, Agni, which Manu, which Sumitra has kindled, be the newest; do youshine wealthily; do you graciously accept our praises; do you destroy the might (of our foes), do you grant usabundance.
Still newest is this face of thine, O Agni, which Manu and Sumitra have enkindled. So richly shine, accept our songs with favour, so give us strengthening food, so send us glory.
