अश्नापि॑नद्धं॒ मधु॒ पर्य॑पश्य॒न्मत्स्यं॒ न दी॒न उ॒दनि॑ क्षि॒यन्त॑म् । निष्टज्ज॑भार चम॒सं न वृ॒क्षाद्बृह॒स्पति॑र्विर॒वेणा॑ वि॒कृत्य॑
aśnāpinaddhaṃ madhu paryapaśyanmatsyaṃ na dīna udani kṣiyantam niṣṭajjabhāra camasaṃ na vṛkṣādbṛhaspatirviraveṇā vikṛtya
He saw the honey not eaten, the fish not ruined by the flood; Brihaspati did not mix flesh with the tree, nor distort it with armor.
Bṛhaspati looked round upon the cows shut up in the cave like fish in a dried up pool; he seized Valawith a shout, cutting him off like a bowl from a tree.
He looked around on rock-imprisoned sweetness as one who eyes a fish in scanty water. Brhaspati, cleaving through with varied clamour, brought it forth like a bowl from out the timber.
