अप॒ ज्योति॑षा॒ तमो॑ अ॒न्तरि॑क्षादु॒द्नः शीपा॑लमिव॒ वात॑ आजत् । बृह॒स्पति॑रनु॒मृश्या॑ व॒लस्या॒भ्रमि॑व॒ वात॒ आ च॑क्र॒ आ गाः
apa jyotiṣā tamo antarikṣādudnaḥ śīpālamiva vāta ājat bṛhaspatiranumṛśyā valasyābhramiva vāta ā cakra ā gāḥ
From the mid-air light pierced forth the lamp of darkness; winds arose like a woolen fleece. Brihaspati, circling, like a cloud of foam, made the winds move and cattle graze.
Bṛhaspati drove away the darkness from the firmament with light as the wind (blows) the Śīpālafrom the water; guessing (them to be there), he swept the Vala's cows together to himself as the wind (sweeps)the clouds.
Forth from mid air with light he dravc the darkness, as the gale blows a lily from the fiver. Like the wind grasping at the cloud of Vala, Brhaspati gathered to himself the cattle,
