Born up, he spoke not of our guarding; the cries of the warrior’s friend rose like the godly shout. O mountains, trembling on our behalf, smear with oil and call Bṛhaspati to mind.
Like birds swimming in water when keeping watch, like the sound of the roaring thunder-cloud, likesounding torrents falling from the clouds, the worshippers glorify Bṛhaspati.
LIKE birds who keep their watch, plashing in water, like the loud voices of the thundering rain-cloud, Like merry streamlets bursting from the mountain, thus to Brhaspati our hymns have sounded.
