Like swans with friends they moved through the beams; with mighty praise Bṛhaspati circled, and the wise uttered lofty hymns in the dawn.
With his friends (the Maruts) clamouring like geese, throwing open the (asuras') cattle-folds made ofstone, Bṛhaspati calling aloud (desires to carry off) the cows; knowing all things he praises (the gods) andchants (their laudation).
Girt by his friends who cried with swanlike voices, bursting the stony barriers of the prison, Brhaspati spake in thunder to the cattle, and uttered praise and song when he had found them.
