For their great chants of the mighty ones, hymns of the ritual-knowing, they adorned the waters and the marvellous sea; may they establish for us the splendid places of friendship.
Skilled in pious rites, I recite the praises of these (deities), mighty through (their own) might, unassailable, exalted by sacrifice; may those (gods) who possessed of various wealth, (rain down) the beautifulwater-cloud, acting in friendly wise, grant us (wealth) for our honour (among men).
Skilled in the Law I lift the hymn of praise to these, Law-strengtheners, unassailed, and great in majesty. These in their wondrous bounty send the watery sea: may they as kindly Friends send gifts to make us great.
