Seven sisters, knowledgeable in homestead, the singers bore honey in the midmost space; in the inner sky formerly people desired the abundant one—Pūṣan they sought.

The wise Agni glorified (by his worshippers) has from the sacrifice raised aloft, for the readymanifestation of (all things), the seven radiant sister (flames); which when formerly engendered he restrained inthe firmament, until desirous of (adorers) he bestowed form upon the region of the earth.

He, calling loudly to the Seven red Sisters, hath, skilled in sweet drink, brought them to be looked on. He, born of old, in middle air hath halted, and sought and found the covering robe of Pusan.
