māṃ dhurindraṃ nāma devatā divaśca gmaścāpāṃ ca jantavaḥ ahaṃ harī vṛṣaṇā vivratā raghū ahaṃ vajraṃ śavase dhṛṣṇvā dade
They called me Dhurindra, a god; I went among the gods and the living waters. I, Hari, strong as a bull, stood revealed; I bore the thunderbolt and took up the carcass, seizing it.
Those born in heaven, in earth, and in the firmament, support me, whose name is Indra among thedeities (by their offerings). I (harness to my car) two bay steeds vigorous, many-functioned, rapid; I wield for mystrength the fearful thunderbolt.
The People of the heavens, the waters, and the earth have stablished me among the Gods with Indra's name.
