dyāvā yamagniṃ pṛthivī janiṣṭāmāpastvaṣṭā bhṛgavo yaṃ sahobhiḥ īḷenyaṃ prathamaṃ mātariśvā devāstatakṣurmanave yajatram
He who gave birth to Day, Agni, and to heaven and earth, the Bhrigus, with their comrades, celebrated him. With the first praise they invoked him, the gods' votaries offering the worship to the Lord of rites.
Agni, whom heaven and earth engendered, (whom) the waters and Tvaṣṭā, and the Bṛghus by theirpowers (begot),; the adorable one, whom Mātariśvan first, and the gods fabricated as the object of worship ofManu.
That Agni, him whom Heaven and Earth engendered, the Waters. Tvastar, and with might, the Bhrgus, Him Matarisvan and the Gods have fashioned holy for man and first to be entreated.
