Whoever today performs the rite for you, O Agni, with purified ghee and the auspicious cry — guide that wealthy, devotional offering rightly; lead it back, O bestower, to the devoted worshipper.

Auspiciously radiant and divine Agni, youngest (of the gods), grant ample wealth to the eminent(worshipper), who presents to you today cakes dressed with butter, and confer happiness upon one devoted tothe gods.

Whoso this day, O God whose flames are lovely, prepares a cake, O Agni, mixt with butter, Lead thou and further him to higher fortune, to bliss bestowed by Gods, O thou Most Youthful.
