विश्व॑स्य के॒तुर्भुव॑नस्य॒ गर्भ॒ आ रोद॑सी अपृणा॒ज्जाय॑मानः । वी॒ळुं चि॒दद्रि॑मभिनत्परा॒यञ्जना॒ यद॒ग्निमय॑जन्त॒ पञ्च॑
viśvasya keturbhuvanasya garbha ā rodasī apṛṇājjāyamānaḥ vīḷuṃ cidadrimabhinatparāyañjanā yadagnimayajanta pañca
A banner of the universe, the womb of the world, Dawn was born unasked. The people pressed forward chanting; they kindled Agni fivefold and made offerings with reverent hands.
The manifester of all, the germ of the world, Agni, as soon as born fills heaven and earth (with light);he fractures as he advances the solid cloud, for which the classes of men praise him.
Germ of the world, ensign of all creation, be sprang to life and filled the earth and heavens. Even the firm rock he cleft when passing over, when the Five Tribes brought sacrifice to Agni.
