ārācchatrumapa bādhasva dūramugro yaḥ śambaḥ puruhūta tena asme dhehi yavamadgomadindra kṛdhī dhiyaṃ jaritre vājaratnām
Strike down the enemy, ward off harm at a distance; he who is invoked before the assembly, grant us strength. Bestow upon me barley, cattle and deepened riches, O Indra, bring forth intellect and winning fame for the glorious jewels.
Invoked of many, (Indra) drive far away the enemy with that fierce thunderbolt of yours; grant to us,Indra, wealth of barley and cattle; render to the worshipper his sacrifice productive of plural asant food.
With thy fierce bolt, O God invoked of many, drive to a distance from afar the foeman. O Indra, give us wealth in corn and cattle, and make thy singer's prayer gain strength and riches.
