तं नो॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी तन्न॒ आप॒ इन्द्रः॑ शृण्वन्तु म॒रुतो॒ हवं॒ वचः॑ । मा शूने॑ भूम॒ सूर्य॑स्य सं॒दृशि॑ भ॒द्रं जीव॑न्तो जर॒णाम॑शीमहि
taṃ no dyāvāpṛthivī tanna āpa indraḥ śaṛṇvantu maruto havaṃ vacaḥ mā śūne bhūma sūryasya saṃdṛśi bhadraṃ jīvanto jaraṇāmaśīmahi
To us be that Heaven and Earth, to us be that Waters—Indra and the Maruts, hear the invoked sacrificial word. May the land not slay us, may we behold the Sun with wholesome sight, living well and free from decay.
May heaven and earth, may the waters, may Indra, and the Maruts, hear this our invocation and thisour praise; may we not be in sorrow at the sight of the Sun; diving long, may we attain a prosperous old age.
This invocation, these our words may Heaven and Earth, and Indra and the Waters and the Maruts hear. Ne'er may we suffer want in presence of the Sun, and, living happy lives, may we attain old age.
