You, Agni, in rites are the priestly, fair one; men think of you as the ghee-offering’s emblem; you appear bright through the eyes of those who see.
Agni, you, the mighty one, are known far and wide by your radiant lustre; bellowing, you rush like abull, you impregnate the sister (plural nts) in your exhilaration; you are mighty.
Men, Agni, have established thee as welcome Priest at holy rites, Thee whose face shines with butter,-at your glad carouse-bright, with eyes most observant. Thou art waxing great.
