bṛhaspatirnayatu durgahā tiraḥ punarneṣadaghaśaṃsāya manma kṣipadaśastimapa durmatiṃ hannathā karadyajamānāya śaṃ yoḥ
O Bṛhaspati, lead away the hostile, pierce the forts, overturn their snares; may the slayer of evil intent, protector of the sacrificer, speed forth blessing and might for both.
Let Bṛhaspati, the overcomer of difficulties, put aside (all sins), let him thrust aside the weapon of thecalumniator; may he hurl down the inglorious (enemy), may he baffle the malevolent, and bestow upon thesacrificer health and prosperity.
BRHASPATI lead us safely over troubless and turn his evil thought against the sinner; Repel the curse, and drive away ill-feeling, and give the sacrificer peace and cornfort!
