These lives were freed from the dead and became inviolable; auspicious are the divine offerings for us today. Coming from the east they went to dance with laughter; they who give long-lived life gave it day by day.
May those who are living remain separate from the dead; may our invocation of the gods today besuccessful; let us go forward to dancing and laughter, assuming a longer and better life.
Divided from the dead are these, the living: now be our calling on the Gods successful. We have gone forth for dancing and for laughter, tofurther times prolonging our existence.
