Be auspicious, O pigeon, grant us well-being; let the gods be dwellers in homes like birds. Agni, priest, accept our libation; let the offering of birds be our cause and protector.
May the bird sent to our dwellings, the pigeon, be auspicious, O gods, and void of offence, so that thewise Agni may approve of our oblation, and the winged weapon (of mischief) depart from us.
Auspicious be the Dove that hath been sent us, a harmless bird, ye Gods, within our dwelling. May Agni, Sage, be pleased with our oblation, and may the Missile borne on wings avoid us.
