अ॒ग्नेर्वर्म॒ परि॒ गोभि॑र्व्ययस्व॒ सं प्रोर्णु॑ष्व॒ पीव॑सा॒ मेद॑सा च । नेत्त्वा॑ धृ॒ष्णुर्हर॑सा॒ जर्हृ॑षाणो द॒धृग्वि॑ध॒क्ष्यन्प॑र्य॒ङ्खया॑ते
agnervarma pari gobhirvyayasva saṃ prorṇuṣva pīvasā medasā ca nettvā dhṛṣṇurharasā jarhṛṣāṇo dadhṛgvidhakṣyanparyaṅkhayāte
Agni, gird about the kine, expend the cattle; prosper those who drink the juice, with fat and brain. Strike, seize, pluck away the shivering ones; avert them with fanlike force.
Enclose the mail of Agni with the (hide of the) cow; cover it with the fat and marrow; then will not(Agni), bold, exulting in his fierce heat, proud, embrace you roundabout to consume you (to ashes).
Shield thee with flesh against the flames of Agni, encompass thee about with fat and marrow, So will the Bold One, eager to attack thee with fierce glow fail to girdle and consume thee.
