Those who, fathers, offered adoration in the halls of the gods—priests skilled in hymn—let them come, Agni, with well‑arranged chants, with truthful words, with poetic songs; may they, like fathers, bring warmth with rites.

Come, Agni, to our presence with the Pitṛs, who are possessed of knowledge, who having attained aseat among the gods, thirst (for the Soma), skilled in sacrifices, reciters of praises with hymns, truth-speaking,seers, frequenters of sacrifices.

Come to us, Agni, with the gracioug Fathers who dwell in glowing light, the very Kavyas, Who thirsted mid the Gods, who hasten hither, oblation winners, theme of singers' praises.
