ये नः॑ स॒पत्ना॒ अप॒ ते भ॑वन्त्विन्द्रा॒ग्निभ्या॒मव॑ बाधामहे॒ तान् । वस॑वो रु॒द्रा आ॑दि॒त्या उ॑परि॒स्पृशं॑ मो॒ग्रं चेत्ता॑रमधिरा॒जम॑क्रन्
ye naḥ sapatnā apa te bhavantvindrāgnibhyāmava bādhāmahe tān vasavo rudrā ādityā uparispṛśaṃ mograṃ cettāramadhirājamakran
Those who would be our foes — may they be struck by Indra and Agni; Vasus, Rudras, Adityas touch and overcome them; may hostile thought and rule be broken.
May those who are our foes be driven off; may we through Indra and Agni destroy them; may theVasus, the Rudras, and the Ādityas make me the high- reaching, fierce, intelligent, supreme ruler.
Let those who are our foemen stay. afar from us: with Indra and with Agni we will drive them off. Vasus, Adityas, Rudras have exalted me, made me far-reaching, inighty, thinker, sovran lord.
