द्यावा॑ ह॒ क्षामा॑ प्रथ॒मे ऋ॒तेना॑भिश्रा॒वे भ॑वतः सत्य॒वाचा॑ । दे॒वो यन्मर्ता॑न्य॒जथा॑य कृ॒ण्वन्सीद॒द्धोता॑ प्र॒त्यङ्स्वमसुं॒ यन्
dyāvā ha kṣāmā prathame ṛtenābhiśrāve bhavataḥ satyavācā devo yanmartānyajathāya kṛṇvansīdaddhotā pratyaṅsvamasuṃ yan
O Dawn, radiant first among powers, through this ear you heard the truthful speaker. The god who fashioned mortals, having wrought, seated the oblation; he placed that which is the vital limb.
Heaven and earth, declarers of truth, principal (of things), be present at the invocation, associatedwith the rite, when the divine (Agni), exciting mortals to sacrifice, sits down in their presence as the invoker (ofthe gods) putting forth his flame.
HEAVEN and Earth, first by everlasting Order, speakers of truth, are near enough to hear us, When the God, urging men to worship. sitteth as Priest, assuming all his vital vigour.
