कश्छन्द॑सां॒ योग॒मा वे॑द॒ धीरः॒ को धिष्ण्यां॒ प्रति॒ वाचं॑ पपाद । कमृ॒त्विजा॑मष्ट॒मं शूर॑माहु॒र्हरी॒ इन्द्र॑स्य॒ नि चि॑काय॒ कः स्वि॑त्
kaśchandasāṃ yogamā veda dhīraḥ ko dhiṣṇyāṃ prati vācaṃ papāda kamṛtvijāmaṣṭamaṃ śūramāhurharī indrasya ni cikāya kaḥ svit
Who among the metres' joiners is wise? Who approached speech and fell prostrate? They called the brave eighth of the priests—Indra’s healer who tended the rite.
What grave person n knows the application of the metres? Who utters the words appropriate to thefunctions (of the) different priests? Whom do they call the eighth of the priests, the independent? Who has donehonour to the two bay horses of Indra?
What sage hath learned the metres' application? Who hath gained Vak, the spirit's aim and object? Which ministering priest is called eighth Hero? Who then hath tracked the two Bay Steeds of Indra?
