May he drive away our enemies with strength, like a brave wielder of the mace; may he, who protects the forest, not let us be harmed. May the sacrificer not go forth without the Brahman, and may the mighty one roar for you.

Mitigate, Indra, our iniquities, may we, by our hymns, extermiante those who offer no hymns. Thesacrifice, unaccompanied by prayer, distinct (from that which is performed with prayer), is not grateful to you. in the hall of sacrifice, accompanied by the sacrifice, you, the friend of man, (ascend) the vessel of your glory.

Grind off our sins: with song will we conquer the men who sing no hymns: Not easily art thou pleased with prayerless sacrifice.
