अ॒पो म॒हीर॒भिश॑स्तेरमु॒ञ्चोऽजा॑गरा॒स्वधि॑ दे॒व एकः॑ । इन्द्र॒ यास्त्वं वृ॑त्र॒तूर्ये॑ च॒कर्थ॒ ताभि॑र्वि॒श्वायु॑स्त॒न्वं॑ पुपुष्याः
apo mahīrabhiśasteramuñco'jāgarāsvadhi deva ekaḥ indra yāstvaṃ vṛtratūrye cakartha tābhirviśvāyustanvaṃ pupuṣyāḥ
Waters, praised by the great ones, released the one awakened; let the one god be pleased. Indra, who slew Vṛtra and made the people prosper, may all life grow for you and may you be strong and flourishing.
You did release the great waters from the malignant (obstructer), you were the only god who watchedover them; with those waters which you have employed for the destruction of Vṛtra, may you, all vivifying Indra,cherish your own person n.
Thou from the curse didst free the mighty Waters, and as their only God didst watch and guard them. O Indra, cherish evermore thy body with those which thou hast won in quelling Vrtra.
