न वा उ॑ ते त॒न्वा॑ त॒न्वं१॒॑ सं प॑पृच्यां पा॒पमा॑हु॒र्यः स्वसा॑रं नि॒गच्छा॑त् । अ॒न्येन॒ मत्प्र॒मुदः॑ कल्पयस्व॒ न ते॒ भ्राता॑ सुभगे वष्ट्ये॒तत्
na vā u te tanvā tanvaṃ1 saṃ papṛcyāṃ pāpamāhuryaḥ svasāraṃ nigacchāt anyena matpramudaḥ kalpayasva na te bhrātā subhage vaṣṭyetat
No, do not press me with your body, nor declare me sinful; a sister goes to deceit. Imagine me otherwise joyful; fair one, do not claim friendship that way.
(Yama speaks). I will not unite my person n with yours; they call him who approaches a sister, a sinneṛEnjoy plural asure with some other than me; your brother, auspicious one, has no such desire.
I will not fold mine arms about thy body: they call it sin when one comes near his sister. Not me,-prepare thy pleasures with another: thy brother seeks not this from thee, O fair one.
