Night and dawn have yoked the radiant one; they bear young one together as a single team. The shining heaven and wide earth glow within; O gods, sustain Agni, bestower of ritual delight.
The night and the day, mutually effacing each other's comlexion, give nourishment combined together, to one infant, who, radiant, shines between earth and heaven the gods retain Agni as the giver of (sacrificial) wealth.
Night and Dawn, changing each the other's colour, meeting together suckle one same Infant: Golden between the heaven and earth he shineth. The Gods possessed the wealth bestowing Agni.
