भरा॑मे॒ध्मं कृ॒णवा॑मा ह॒वींषि॑ ते चि॒तय॑न्तः॒ पर्व॑णापर्वणा व॒यम् । जी॒वात॑वे प्रत॒रं सा॑धया॒ धियोऽग्ने॑ स॒ख्ये मा रि॑षामा व॒यं तव॑
bharāmedhmaṃ kṛṇavāmā havīṃṣi te citayantaḥ parvaṇāparvaṇā vayam jīvātave prataraṃ sādhayā dhiyo'gne sakhye mā riṣāmā vayaṃ tava
We have performed the sacrifice, fashioned the offering, mindful and repeatedly at the appointed times. O Agni, direct intelligence for life; be our friend, do not be angry with us.
We bring fuel, we offer oblations, reminding you of the successive seasons (of worship); do you thoroughly complete the rite, in order to prolong our lives; let us not suffer injury, Agni, through your friendship.
We will bring fuel and prepare burnt offerings, reminding thee at each successive festival. Fulfil our thought that so we may prolong our lives. Let us not in thy friendship, Agni, suffer harm.
