These living beings, O Indra, nourish the whole world with rain; among men is the mighty Veda: it has provided for those who thirst — may that Veda bear us hence.
These, your creatures, Indra, cherish (the oblation) that may be partaken of by all; you, lord of all, know what are the riches of those men who make no offerings; bring their wealth to us.
These people, Indra, keep for thee all that is worthy of thy choice. Discover thou, as Lord, the wealth of men who offer up no gifts: bring thou to us this wealth of theirs.
