Vṛtra was not trembling nor fearing Indra. By that iron and thousand-showers of might the weapon came upon him; conquer and secure thy sovereignty.

Vṛtra deterred not Indra by his trembling or his clamour; the many-edged iron thunderbolt fell upon him; (Indra) manifesting his own sovereignty.

But Vrtra scared not Indra with his shaking or his thunder roar. On him that iron thunderbolt fell fiercely with its thousand points, lauding his own imperial sway.
