इ॒त्था हि सोम॒ इन्मदे॑ ब्र॒ह्मा च॒कार॒ वर्ध॑नम् । शवि॑ष्ठ वज्रि॒न्नोज॑सा पृथि॒व्या निः श॑शा॒ अहि॒मर्च॒न्ननु॑ स्व॒राज्य॑म्
itthā hi soma inmade brahmā cakāra vardhanam śaviṣṭha vajrinnojasā pṛthivyā niḥ śaśā ahimarcannanu svarājyam
Thus Soma in his intoxication made the strengthening Brahman; most excellent in vigor, with radiant strength he pierced the earth and in the moonlit night brought forth his realm.
Mighty wielder of the thunderbolt, when the priest had thus exalted you (by praise), and exhilarating Soma (had been drunk), you did expel, by your vigour, Ahi from the earth, manifesting your own soverignty.
THUS in the Soma, in wild joy the Brahman hath exalted thee: Thou, mightiest It thunder-armed, hast driven by force he Dragon from the earth, lauding thine own imperial sway.
