O Agni, you swift-giver, the radiant suns have granted all life. They bestowed might, wealth, and strength in rites, portioning fame among the gods and the celebrants of the sacred vows.
May your opulent worshippers, Agni, obtain (abundant) food; may the learned (who praise you) and offer you (oblations), acquire long life; may we gain in battles booty from our foes, presenting their portion to the gods for (the acquisition of) renown.
May thy rich worshippers win food, O Agni, and princes gain long life who bring oblation. May we get booty from jur foe in battle, presenting to the Gods their share for glory.
