शु॒क्रः शु॑शु॒क्वाँ उ॒षो न जा॒रः प॒प्रा स॑मी॒ची दि॒वो न ज्योतिः॑
śukraḥ śuśukvām̐ uṣo na jāraḥ paprā samīcī divo na jyotiḥ
Shukra, bright as a bull, not aged, reached the dawn; the splendor of heaven is not extinguished.
[1-2] White-shining (Agni), like the (sun), the extinguisher of the dawn, is the illuminator (of all) and fills united (heaven and earth with light), like the lustre of the radiant (sun). You, as soon as manifested, have pervaded all the world with devout acts, being (both) the father and son of the gods.
BRIGHT, splendid, like Dawn's lover, he bath filled the two joined worlds as with the light of heaven. When born, with might thou hast encompassed them: Father of Gods, and yet their Son wast thou.
