The sun, who rejoices in all rites, the parched which the gods call life—those born are sustained by the living one.

[3-4] When, divine Agni, you are born living from the dry wood, (by attrition), then all (your worshippers) perform the sacred ceremony, and obtain verily true divinity by praising you, who are immortal, with hymns that reach you.
