ṛtasya devā anu vratā gurbhuvatpariṣṭirdyaurna bhūma
The gods follow the ordinance of Rta; from the mid‑air the heaven and earth encircle with rounds of order.
[3-4] The gods followed the traces of the fugitive; the search spread everywhere, and earth became like heaven; the waters swelled (to conceal him), who was much enlarged by praise, and was manifested as it were in the womb in the waters, the source of sacrificial food.
Like grateful food, like some wide dwelling place, like a fruit-bearing hill, a wholesome stream. Like a steed urged to run in swift career, rushing like Sindhu, who may check his course?
