The buffalo-strong, the magicians, wondrous-shining, mountains not of ease but of bold Rudra-descendants. Like deer the tusked ones fed in the woods, their venomous might joined with the darts.
Vast, possessed of knowledge, bright-shining, like mountains in stability and quick in motion, you, like elephants, break down the forests when you put vigour into your ruddy (mares).
Mighty, with wondrous power and marvellously bright, selfstrong like mountains, ye glide swiftly on your way. Like the wild elephants ye eat the forests up when ye assume your strength among the bright red flames.
