He, in Suṣṭubh metre, praised by seven priests with song — the singer praised the mountain with nine bulls. With shelters the milker Indra made the flood by the sun’s ray, with ten waters.
Powerful Indra, who are to be gratified with a laudatory and well-accented hymn by the seven priests, whether engaged for nine months, or for ten; and, desirous of (safe) protection, you have terrified by your voice the divisible fructifying cloud.
Mid shout, loud shout, and roar, with the Navagvas, seven singers, hast thou, heavenly, rent the mountain; Thou hast, with speeders, with Dasagvas, Indra, Sakra, with thunder rent obstructive Vala.
