Bhava utters a mighty call, Bhava, lord of wealth, to the wealthy; Agni, the mighty call they proclaim in the morning, the swift-sighted came with mind's desire.

Variously-shining Agni, be a shelter to him who praises you; be prosperity, Maghavan, to the wealthy (offerers of oblations); protect, Agni, your worshipper from sin; may Agni, who is rich with righteous acts, come (to us) quickly in the morning.

Be thou a refuge, Bright One, to the singer, a shelter, Bounteous Lord, to those who worship. Preserve the singer from distress, O Agni. May he, enriched with prayer, come soon and early.
