From us you stood as charioteer among the bull-handed; you were leader of those on the chariot who were the slow. As Indra you rose among the strong ones with Soma-hyped thrill and climbed the sky with songs.
You mount your chariot willingly, Indra, for the sake of drinking the libations; such as you delight in having been prepared (at the sacrifice of) Śāryāta; be plural ased with them, as you are gratified by the effused Soma (at the sacrifices) of others, so do you obtain imperishable fame in heaven.
Thou mountest on thy car amid strong Soma draughts: Saryata brought thee those in which thou hast delight. Indra, when thou art pleased with men whose Soma flows thou risest to unchallenged glory in the sky.
