tvāmiddhi sahasasputra martya upabrūte dhane hite suvīryaṃ maruta ā svaśvyaṃ dadhīta yo va ācake
The thousand‑sons addressed you: spoke of the mortal’s good—may the Marut give mighty strength and place his own chariot to him whom he has hailed.
Man celebrates you, son of strength, for the wealth abandoned (by the foe). Maruts, may be who praises you obtain wealth, yielding excellent steeds and eminent vigour.
O Son of Strength, each mortal calls to thee for aid when spoil of battle waits for him. O Maruts, may this man who loves you well obtain wealth of good steeds and hero might.
