cakrāṇāsaḥ parīṇahaṃ pṛthivyā hiraṇyena maṇinā śumbhamānāḥ na hinvānāsastitirusta indraṃ pari spaśo adadhātsūryeṇa
I strode round the steeds' circles on the earth, adorned with gold and gems, proud of my glory. For they did not humble the breathless ones; Indra, surrounding, placed them before the sun.
Decorated with gold and jewels, they were spreading over the circuit of the earth; but mighty as they were, they triumphed not over Indra; he dispersed them with the (rising) sun.
Adorned with their array of gold and jewels, they o'er the earth a covering veil extended. Although they hastened, they o'ercame not Indra: their spies he compassed with the Sun of morning.
