Amid the trunks and dwellings of those who stood aloof was laid the body. The waters traversed around Vrtra's stronghold, long did Indra's foe abide therein.
The waters carry off the nameless body of Vṛtra, tossed into the midst of the never- stopping, never-resting currents. The foe of Indra has slept a long darkness.
Rolled in the midst of never-ceasing currents flowing without a rest for ever onward. The waters bear off Vrtra's nameless body: the foe of Indra sank to during darkness.
