अ॒ग्नेर्व॒यं प्र॑थ॒मस्या॒मृता॑नां॒ मना॑महे॒ चारु॑ दे॒वस्य॒ नाम॑ । स नो॑ म॒ह्या अदि॑तये॒ पुन॑र्दात्पि॒तरं॑ च दृ॒शेयं॑ मा॒तरं॑ च
agnervayaṃ prathamasyāmṛtānāṃ manāmahe cāru devasya nāma sa no mahyā aditaye punardātpitaraṃ ca dṛśeyaṃ mātaraṃ ca
O Agni, you are the lord of this immortal mind of ours, fair in the god’s name. Grant us again a father and show us a mother to behold.
Let us invoke the auspicious name of Agni, the first divinity of the immortals, that he may give us to the great Aditi, and that I may behold agin my father and my mother.
Agni the God the first among the Immortals, - of his auspicious name let us bethink us. He shall to mighty Aditi restore us, that I may see my Father and my Mother.
