वि घ॒ त्वावा॑ँ ऋतजात यंसद्गृणा॒नो अ॑ग्ने त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ वरू॑थम् । विश्वा॑द्रिरि॒क्षोरु॒त वा॑ निनि॒त्सोर॑भि॒ह्रुता॒मसि॒ हि दे॑व वि॒ष्पट्
vi gha tvāvām̐ ṛtajāta yaṃsadgṛṇāno agne tanve3 varūtham viśvādririkṣoruta vā ninitsorabhihrutāmasi hi deva viṣpaṭ
O Agni, make firm for us the order-born one whose true voice the good assemblies recognize; you extend protection. You are the defender of all, leader of the defence; indeed you are the illustrious protector among the gods.
Agni, born for sacrifice, (a man) praising you, who are excellent, for (the sake of cherishing) his body, becomes such as you are; exempts himself from all who are inclined to harm or revile him; for you, Agni, are the especial adversary of those who do wrong.
Such as thou art, born after Law, O Agni when lauded give protection to our bodies, From whosoever would reproach or injure: for thou, God, rcscuest from all oppression.
